Driven by the accelerating global carbon neutrality process and the explosive growth of the new energy vehicle industry, new energy vehicle companies are facing the daunting challenge of reducing carbon emissions across the entire product lifecycle.
As the developer of the world's first suspended home charging station, we leverage innovative technology to introduce an eco-friendly charging solution featuring PCR (post-consumer recycled plastic) recycled materials, helping automakers build differentiated competitiveness and achieve a dual leap in social and commercial value.
The world's first suspended PCR charging station—Rocking Blue Whale
It is estimated that the amount of carbon dioxide released into the atmosphere by blue whales through defecation each year is equivalent to the total emissions of millions of cars. Therefore, protecting blue whales is not only about maintaining marine ecological balance, but also about contributing to the fight against global climate change.
The outer shell of the Qudian Blue Whale Low-Carbon Edition Home Charging Station is made from ocean-bound plastic (OBP) sourced from marine waste. This not only reduces the production and use of new plastic but also promotes sustainable development in coastal communities, provides employment opportunities for coastal residents, and makes a substantial contribution to the health of the Earth's marine ecosystems.
Take the charging gun head as an example. By adding more than 50% PCR material, each charging gun uses approximately 0.087 kg of PCR recycled material, which effectively reduces carbon emissions by approximately 0.2975 kg compared to using virgin materials, representing a reduction of approximately 38% in carbon emissions.
The product design incorporates minimalist aesthetics, saving 40% of installation space while generating a visual carbon reduction report through a material traceability system, thereby enhancing users' sense of environmental participation.
